HARVINGTON
• The recent Holiday Club in Harvington saw over 40 children and young people engaged in a variety of activities that enabled them to exhibit the theme of ‘Giving your Best.’ The theme had been inspired by the London 2012 Olympic Games and the holiday club enabled those taking part to give of their best in various ways. Over three days the youngsters had fun with crafts which had a flavour of both London and the Olympics. They took part in various games trying to improve on their own personal bests and they had some sessions of cricket coaching by Harvington’s own international player, Jo Venter. On Thursday most of the participants went bell boating at Fladbury with the Harvington Youth Group leader, James Bell-Winfrow, whilst others remained in Harvington and completed a scavenger hunt on the playing field with Rev Richard Thorniley. read more
