A FORMER apprentice, who is still only 25 years old, has been appointed a director of a Worcestershire electrical company.

Jack England joined Ford Electrical Ltd, which is based at Willersey, near Broadway, on a four year electrical apprenticeship in 2006 and has worked his way up through the ranks, as electrician and then operational manager and has now been made a director of the business. Mr England has helped drive the expansion of Ford Electrical, which has carried out major electrical projects and long term school maintenance contracts across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Warwickshire.

He said: "I would firstly like to take this opportunity to thank Robert, Pat and Peter Heming for putting the upmost trust in me and making me the company director of Ford Electrical. I fully appreciate what responsibilities lay ahead and relish the challenge. Clients and staff can be assured that I will remain loyal and continue the hard work to achieve a successful future for our business."

Ford Electrical Ltd is part of The Heming Group, which acquired it in 2010. Mr England will continue to work closely with the company founder Brian Ford and Heming group director Peter Heming.
