HEREFORDSHIRE & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, which is currently the UK's Chamber of the Year, has been nominated for another award, this time in the Midlands region.

It has reached the finals in the business club of the year category in the Midlands Business Awards, joining an illustrious list of other Midlands membership organisations including the Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce, Mansfield 2020 & Nottingham Means Business.

Chamber chief executive Mike Ashton said: "We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated an award at the Midlands Business Awards. This really is a testament to all the tireless work that has been put in by our staff over the course of the last 18 months. We have made some great strides as an organisation and really stepped up our offer to local businesses. With that in mind, it is them that we should be thanking. Without our members who offer us continual support, we really would not be in the position we are today."

The Chamber's place in the final five was cemented through a stringent application process that involved detailing how its services have helped local businesses grow. From the organisation of more than 200 events to the provision of commercial services, such as a dedicated legal and HR line, which is free to members.

The final of the Midlands Business Awards is to be held at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, on February 20, 2015.
