A BROMSGROVE financial planning firm has won a top national award for the quality of advice it gives to clients.

Redbourne Wealth Management, based in Isidore Road, which in 2013 was named one of the top 100 financial planners in the UK, has won the title of investment adviser of the year in the Moneyfacts Life and Pensions 2014 Awards, beating off competition from big names such as Chase de Vere and Bestinvest.

Redbourne's senior financial planner Chris Payton said: "This is probably the biggest award we have won and it is in recognition of the investment process we have developed for advising clients. We are particularly pleased to have beaten big names such as Bestinvest and Chase de Vere."

Moneyfacts supplies personal finance data to the government and the Bank of England and is the research organisation behind the Best Buy columns in the FT, the Guardian and the Daily Mail. The awards were presented in London by impressionist Jon Culshaw.
