THE accounts side of national recruitment firm Adecco will now operate more smoothly following work by Worcestershire software company Rimilia.

The Bromsgrove based business, which specialise in providing intelligent financial management software solutions to global blue chip brands, has been working to help Swiss headquartered Adecco improve efficiency of its UK cash allocation systems.

The nature of the recruitment sector often comprises of short and long term assignments across specialist brands, which ultimately result in a large volume of invoices, payments receipts and also complex remittance advices all of which take time to reconcile in the sales ledger. Rimilia worked in partnership with the team at Adecco to automate the cash allocation process to enable all payment receipts to be allocated within day of receipt. As a result, overall efficiency has been improved by 70 per cent and the Adecco accounts receivable team now benefit from an up to date sales ledger which allows it to focus on overdue debt rather than reconciliation of cash on account with customers.

Head of credit for Adecco UK Martin Kirby said: "Without fail we now get all cash accurately allocated on the day of receipt and can easily cope with the monthly peaks in cash receipts. It has been a massive success for us”.

Rimilia Group managing director, Chris McGibbon added: "This has been a great project particularly since it is Birmingham based and has exceeded the benefits identified at the outset. The team at Rimilia are looking forward to a long partnership relationship with Adecco”
