AN event to explain the fine details of the last budget of this Parliament is to be held at Sixways, Worcester on the morning of Thursday, March 19.

The free breakfast meeting starts at 7.30am and is primarily aimed at business owners and managers. It is being organised by CB, Chartered Accountants of Worcester with support from Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

John Painter, managing partner at CB, said: "Chancellor George Osborne will deliver his last budget of the Parliament on Wednesday , March 18, just weeks before Parliament breaks up ahead of campaigning for the general election on May 7. Mr Osborne has already announced his spending plans for 2015-6 and has downplayed talk of any major pre-election tax changes. But will there be any surprise pre-election giveaways?"

Speakers will include Mr Painter and CB's tax partner Chris Hobbs, tax partner at CB, Chartered Accountants and Jack Stephens, policy executive from the Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Painter added: "Those attending can expect analysis of all the announcements as well as practical and innovative tips and ideas on how to plan your financial affairs in light of George Osborne's latest budget announcements. Jargon-free explanations are promised."
