WHAT better way to celebrate your tenth birthday than to bake a cake - lots of them.

And that's just what the staff at KKE Architects in Worcester did. Now the practice has decided to enter a team in the Worcester City 10k event in September to run off all the calories.

Vincent Kirk, director of KKE said: "In 10 years we have designed more than 40 hospice projects all over the UK from here in Worcester. Our work with St Richard's Hospice throughout that time has been special for us, so it was great that Mark Jackson, its chief executive, was able to join us for our first 'big birthday'."

The practice, which started out in a small barn conversion in Worcestershire, is now based on Diglis Basin. and specialises in healthcare architecture with a growing portfolio in education and interior design. They will be celebrating its business milestone with events throughout the year, including participation in the Worcester run.
