BUSINESSES will have the chance to hear about Worcestershire County Council's new commissioning approach to providing services at a free breakfast meeting.

Finditinworcestershire’s "Doing Business with Worcestershire County Council" will take place at Worcester Warrior’s Sixways stadium on Tuesday, May 19, from 6.45 am to 9.30am. The event will discuss how Worcestershire businesses can become suppliers and be involved in a number of upcoming council projects in the region.

Sander Kristel, director of commercial and change at Worcestershire County Council, will illustrate the council’s commissioning plans and the opportunities available to the local supply chain. Finditinworcestershire members will also be able to meet members of the County Council’s commercial team.

Kathryn Wagstaff, project manager of Finditinworcestershire, said: “Commissioning has become a key part of the council’s transformation and we are looking forward to seeing how Sander can draw on his wide range of experience and explain the latest opportunities for the local supply chain.”

People will also take part in Finditinworcestershire’s open networking session, where an average monthly attendance of more than 130 local business owners, directors and decision-makers can make new contacts.

Places can be booked by visiting www.finditinworcestershire.com, where unregistered local businesses can also sign up for free. Exhibition stands will be showcasing products and services from all around the county, alongside a complimentary breakfast.
