IT will probably be like Glastonbury without the noise and without the mud, because a Worcestershire country house is set to launch "festival style" weddings beneath huge tents and with silent discos, where music is played through dancers' individual headphones rather than loudspeakers.

Five star rated Laughern Hill Estate at Wichenford, west of Worcester, aims to be one of the only venues in England able to provide a complete al fresco, outdoor wedding experience thanks to new partnerships with tipi supplier Stunning Tents and audio specialists Flying Sound.

Laughern Hill owner Christopher Palmer-Jeffery said: "Laughern Hill Estate is a unique and exclusive use venue where we pride ourselves on our ability to create the best possible wedding day for all our brides. Extending this offering to festival style weddings will only better the Laughern Hill Estate experience and I am sure the majority of our brides will just fall in love with the entire concept.”

Duncan Russell, managing director of Stunning Tents, explained: "Tipis are an extremely popular choice for weddings and they help to create a wonderful atmosphere and focal point for your big day. Due to the flexible nature of the structures, all manner of configurations are possible so whether you have 50 or 500 guests our tipis will work perfectly."

Mr Palmer-Jeffrey added: "Usually enjoyed on mass as part of a festival, silent discos have increased massively in popularity over recent years. As a venue that aims to offer something unique and different, we have decided to bring this element of fun to our wedding offering and feel it will make the whole festival style wedding come to life.”

Laughern Hill Estate has developed a designated area on the southern elevation of its site for festival style weddings, while couples who prefer tradition, a limited number marquee weddings will still be available on the main lawns in front of the Victorian summerhouse and around the wishing well fountain.
