THE project manager of a Worcester housing development has won a major national award.

Andy Shaw, who is in charge at Taylor Wimpey’s Diglis Water site, beat off stiff competition from around 15,000 entries to gain a National House-Building Council pride in the job quality award.

The awards are presented following a stringent judging process by NHBC inspectors who perform spot checks and continuous assessment of developments throughout the year.

Roger Northam, managing director of Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “I’d like to congratulate Andy for winning another quality award. His success is thoroughly deserved. Here at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, we are committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service and this has ensured that we continue to be an NHBC award-winning housebuilder year after year.”

The award recognises Mr Shaw's dedication to building high-quality homes and providing excellent customer service.

It is not the first time he has been in the awards spotlight. He earned a quality award last year for his sterling work at Diglis Water and went on to succeed in the next stages of the competition, winning a seal of excellence award. He was crowned the regional winner for the NHBC’s multi-storey category and was then runner-up in the national finals. Mr Shaw also won a quality award in 2013.
