A MALVERN confectionary shop has been hailed the UK's top of the chocs.
The business run by husband and wife team Nigel and Sara Morris in Great Malvern Post Office in Abbey Road has been awarded Thorntons franchisee of the year for 2014/15.
Announced to 120 franchisees and store managers at the chocolate retailer's annual conference at Nottingham University, the award was based on sales, shop standards and promotions.
Mr Morris said: "We were over the moon to win this very special award. It's wonderful to receive recognition for all the hard work and great customer service our staff put in on a daily basis, we couldn't have won without them."
Sarah Newbrook, Thorntons franchise territory manager, added: "Thorntons was absolutely delighted to present Malvern our franchisee of the year 2014/15 award. To win, our stores need great team engagement, an ongoing passion for the brand, excellent store standards, with engaging customer service. Ultimately key to the success for the winner is through driving a fantastic sales performance year on year."
