A YOUNG Evesham hairdresser, who is originally from Romania, has been judged one of the UK's rising stars.
Cristina Iutis only arrived in England two years ago and now works for OneTwoSix Hair Studio in Evesham. She won the next generation hairdresser of the year category in a national competition organised by industry supplier Salon Supply Shop.
Miss Iutis, who is 25 and lives in Cropthorne, joined OneTwoSix on an apprenticeship just over a year ago. Salon owner Let Lew said: "We encourage her to gain more experience by taking part in competitions, to make the most of the training she has had with us, and to be creative. And she goes and brings back the crown by winning next generation hairdresser of the year 2015.
"This make us feel very proud, as all the training we have provided, as well as her passion for hairdressing, has paid off. Her professional skill and likeable personality make customers very welcome and comfortable during their visits to the salon. I hope we can make Evesham proud of continuing to provide good hairdressing and training for young hairdressers."
