MALVERN salon Belle Beauty raised more than £800 during a special day for local charity Malvern Special Families.

The salon, which is based at Pf2 gym in Malvern Retail Park, opened solely to raise money for the charity, which provides stimulating fun activities for children and young adults with disabilities, while also providing respite for family and careers. It also sold raffle tickets, with prize winners taking home a rugby ball signed by the Worcester Warriors rugby team, alongside gift sets and personal training sessions.

Belle Beauty chose to raise money for Malvern Special Families as beauty therapist Debbie Alban and her family have personally used it for her brother Tim, who thoroughly enjoyed attending.

Miss Alban said: “We are so pleased with the amount we have been able to raise for the charity and so thankful and touched by all the support we have had.” The £817 raised will be doubled by Base Point Evesham.

Lucy Crouch, owner of Belle Beauty, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the amount raised for this incredible charity. We would like to say thank you to everyone who kindly donated prizes and contributed to the day.”
