STAFF at the Worcester office of top 40 accountants Bishop Fleming have raised more than £12,800 for local charities.

The impressive total, raised throughout 2016, stemmed from a number of activities including a quiz night which raised more than £2,000 for The Princes Trust, sponsorship of The Princes Trust Golf Day, which raised just short of £6,000 and a team of four members of staff who completed the Worcestershire Way in a Day for St Richards Hospice, raising more than £2,500.

Several individuals within the firm also undertook their own fundraising challenges for various causes including Shaun Mooney, who ran the Paris Marathon for St Richard's Hospice raising £330, Natalie Lloyd, who ran the Worcester Half marathon for St Richards Hospice raising £410 and Emily Rowe, who ran the Worcester 10k for the Worcestershire Breast Unit raising £320.

Ian Smith, partner in charge of the Worcester office, said: "We are all very familiar with the wonderful work charities do for people living in our region and we hope that our fundraising efforts over the past year go some way towards helping these organisations continue the work that they do. The challenge is now on to see if we can better this total next year."
