A WORCESTER law practice has added a new face to its family law department.
Hallmark Hulme has bolstered its department with the appointment of experienced solicitor Helen Hanson.
She joins a six strong team at the Sansome Place-based firm, which has been operating for an impressive 226 years - understood to make them the city's oldest law firm.
The mother-of-two, who hails from the Black Country, first showed a flair for the specialism during a work placement with a Walsall practice after gaining a law degree at Coventry University.
Mrs Hanson completed her legal practice certificate at the former Birmingham College of Law and spent seven years with Talbots Solicitors, before moving to Worcestershire to work for Thursfields.
“I like to feel that I am helping clients at a difficult time in their lives and always encourage them to try to resolve matters amicably rather than have to go through lengthy court battles,” Mrs Hanson said.
“Resolving as much as possible outside the court arena is also more cost effective.”
Lesley Bartlett, head of family law at Hallmark Hulme, added: “We are delighted to welcome Helen, whose wide experience in all matters relating to divorce and separation will further strengthen our team.”
