A WORCESTERSHIRE law firm has donated almost £600 to three local charities as part of ongoing fundraising efforts.

Staff at Mfg Solicitors held various fundraisers throughout the past 12 months for the three county charities – St Richard’s Hospice, Primrose Hospice and Wyre Forest’s St Basils.

The events, which included sponsored walks, raffles and dress down days, were held between the law firm’s offices in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Worcester.

Kirsten Bridgewater, partner and head of Mfg’s CSR committee said: “Our staff across all three offices have made a great contribution to our charitable giving in the past 12 months.

"Their efforts and generosity have been superb.

“All three charities were hand picked by our staff and each does a fantastic job for so many people and their families.

"I hope our donation can help make a difference to the lives of people they each support each and every day.”

Based in Worcester, St Richard’s Hospice cares for 2,500 patients and their loved ones each year.

Primrose Hospice is based in Bromsgrove and supports patients living with a life-limiting illness, with Mfg’s donation supporting the Hospice’s palliative care service at Bromsgrove's Princess of Wales Hospital.

Ms Bridgewater added that Mfg Solicitors will announce its chosen charities for 2017 in the coming weeks, following a staff vote.
