ONE of Worcester's biggest employers has made an impressive donation to charity.

Worcester, Bosch Group originally pledged their support for Midlands Air Ambulance in 2015, and went on to organise a year of fundraising activities.

Activities included a sponsored bike ride, dress down days and bake sales.

In the end a total of £13,500 was raised for the charity, responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances, serving Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Jon Cottrell, corporate partnerships co-ordinator at Midlands Air Ambulance, said: “As every Midlands Air Ambulance Charity mission costs on average £2,500, the support we receive from generous companies like Worcester, Bosch Group is vitally important.

"It enables our air ambulance operation to do what it does best – saving lives on a daily basis.

"On behalf of the team at the charity and our amazing flight paramedics and doctors, I’d like to thank everyone at Worcester for their generous and invaluable support.”

Victoria Billings, head of marketing, added: “When we found out that the lifesaving service provided by the Midlands Air Ambulance is run purely on donations from the public and businesses, we knew it was something we had to get involved in.

"Everyone at Worcester has loved participating in a wide variety of charity activities across the year, and we are so delighted to be able to support the fantastic work that they do and help ensure the service continues at its best."
