Evesham Jubilee Society
THE first round of the fishery individual Spring League took place on the Jubilee and Phil's Pools last Sunday.
Richard Chatwin won the match from Jubilee peg 21 with a weight of 36.8.0 to see off the challenge of Gary Seadon (Phil's 2, 20.11.0).
Tim Hunt was third (13.6.0) and Brian Bennett claimed fourth with 11.7.0.
The league continues on The Withies on Sunday when the draw is at 9am.
Evesham and District Disabled AC
SIX members turned out for the match at Lemington Lakes where they had the wind in their faces all day.
Fishing was slow but all netted something in the eighth Fiesta Cakes Spring League match.
The eventual winner was Jerry Akerman with 13-8-0, second was Antony Icke (11-2-0) and third Bill Scarrott with 11-0-0.
Other weights: Mick Leeming 7-8-0; Bob Southall 3-0-0; Ron Williams 2-8-0.
The next match is at Pebworth, draw at 8am with fishing for five hours from 9.

MEMBERS are reminded that there will be a working party at Drakes Broughton on Sunday starting at 9 am.
