RESIDENTS of Evesham's Bengeworth ward are preparing to vote in the local by-election later this week.
Following the death of Cllr Stephen Selby earlier this year the Bengeworth seat on the town council was left vacant and this election will attempt to find a replacement for the former Mayor.
The three new candidates are Ron Stow, Independent; Stephen Webb, Conservative; and John White, UKIP.
Voting is taking place this Thursday, May 15 from 7am - 10pm at four possible polling stations in the ward: Bengeworth Church House, Bengeworth First School, Bengeworth Sport & Social Club, on Coronation Street, and Elim Church on Chapel Street.
Polling cards should already have been received by those eligible to vote.
Town clerk Frank Green said: "As a town council we would urge as many people as possible from the the Bengeworth area to turn out and vote for one of their representatives."
