DORMY House in Broadway has been voted the best country hotel in the country.

It was awarded best countryside hotel by Condé Nast Johansens at the 2016 UK & Ireland Awards for Excellence, which took place at the Mayfair Hotel in London. This is the third year in row Dormy House has been recognised at the Condé Nast Johansens awards, having won best spa hotel for the past two years.

Part of the privately owned Farncombe Estate, Dormy House re-opened in August 2013 following a transformation by London based design house Todhunter Earle. In February 2014, it launched House Spa, a brand new Cotswolds destination spa designed by London-based Sparcstudio.

Andrew Grahame, chief executive of Farncombe Estate, said: "We are thrilled and honoured that Dormy House has won this category. We pride ourselves on our excellent service and facilities and I’m extremely proud of all our staff who have shown commitment in every area of the hotel to achieve this recognition.”

The Condé Nast Johansens awards were created to “acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across Condé Nast Johansens properties”. They are based on responses from online voting, guest feedback, and local expert reports and have become recognised as a mark of quality recognised by consumers and travel professionals alike.
