THE trials and tribulations of plump teenager growing up in 1960s Baltimore will appear in glorious technicolour at Evesham Arts Centre.
Students from Prince Henry’s High School will stage their production of award-winning Broadway hit musical, Hairspray, at the Victoria Avenue theatre on March 3-6.
It follows the rise to fame of the larger-than-life Tracy Turnblad, who dreams of dancing on a television talent show.
When she wins a part on the show, Tracy becomes an overnight star.
But not satisfied with achieving her dream, the plucky teenager goes on to prove that there’s more to life than just good looks.
Performances start at 7.15pm and tickets cost £6-£8. To book, call 01386 765588.
