EVESHAM'S Comedy Club is the place for those who like their jokes delivered raw but well done.

The next raw comedy night at the Arts Centre venue will take place on Friday, June 30, from 8pm, and organisers say they are offering "the biggest and best new comedy gig for miles around".

Acts booked include George Rigden, billed as "Bristol's personable, mischievous, musical comedian" and Sean Sellers who is, apparently, "a clever, camp, intense American".

Fiona Ridgewell is a "multiple comedy-competition finalist with hopes of a fairy-tale life" and Bob Munro is billed as an "up-and-coming London act".

On a mission from God, apparently, will be The Monks, otherwise known as Kevin Moore and Yazz Fetto.

Also appearing will be the Aussie comedian Shehan Wanigasekera, "who's short and to the point", and the Master of Ceremonies will be Dimitry Bakanov, all the way from Eastern Europe.

A spokesman said: "He took just 9 months to reach the Leicester Square Theatre's New Comedian competition finals."

The spokesman added: "Evesham Arts Centre's Raw Comedy nights are where rising acts present a 10 to 15 minutes sample of their work. Comedy fans get a good laugh and the chance to spot comedy talent before their first stadium tour.
