Old screen adversaries Barbara Windsor and Pam St Clement clink glasses as they look back on the good old days to celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of EastEnders.
The pair – who famously tussled on the BBC One soap – will be seen discussing their memories of Walford as they share a sofa to reminisce in a programme to be screened on the BBC iPlayer.
Barbara – famous for her role as Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell – and Pam, known for many years for her role as Pat Butcher, will be guests when EastEnders: Back To Ours begins from Monday January 26.
Various members of the cast will feature in the programmes, which will be screened in the build-up to next month’s anniversary.
Pam – who bowed out of the soap in 2012 when her character died from pancreatic cancer – said: “What fun – not only catching up and chatting with Babs but being surrounded by friends and crew from the EastEnders production team – it was like coming home.”
Barbara, who has also left the show, will make a return for one episode during the anniversary week which begins on February 16 with various live elements, as well as an entire live episode.
She said: “I had such great fun filming this with Pam. At times we completely forgot we were being filmed and we got terribly carried away, in fact we got quite outrageous! It was such a lovely afternoon, we giggled for hours, in fact we didn’t want it to finish.”
