Actress Penelope Cruz has revealed one of her early slip-ups before she was famous.
The Spanish actress and model revealed on the Graham Norton Show that when she first arrived in Hollywood, her English wasn’t perfect.
She told Graham: “When I first arrived I spoke so little and basically just knew my lines. I used to freak out because I didn’t know what the actors and director were saying – it was very frustrating.
“I even embarrassed myself at the hairdresser when I asked for a blow job.”
That’s all behind her though now and she’s one of the most in-demand stars in showbiz.
She was joined on the show by her Zoolander co-stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
Ben said of working with her and writing the part for her: “She is a beautiful person and an amazing actor and I just wanted to hang out with her.”
She plays a character called Valentina, who is an Interpol agent, who comes to seek help from Derek (Ben) and Hansel (Owen).
Talking about her role, she said: “I was a huge fan of the first film. I had seen it six or seven times and was one of those people that memorise the dialogue so when Ben called me I was so happy to hear there was going to be a second one and, on top of that, I was going to be in it!”
Zoolander 2 is out in UK cinemas on February 12.
