George Clooney and his new wife Amal celebrated their marriage with a lavish post-wedding dinner in the UK.

The couple - who tied the knot in a three-day extravaganza in Venice last month - enjoyed another party at the weekend, this time at the Danefield House Hotel and Spa in Marlow-on-Thames, Buckinghamshire.

Human rights lawyer Amal, 36, was photographed arriving in an elegant gold dress and black wrap, while Hollywood star George, 53, looked smart in a dark suit and black tie.

The event was thrown by Amal's parents Ramzi and Baria Alamuddin, and included a cocktail reception and a three-course meal with tasty treats such as foie gras, filet of beef and sea bass on the menu.

A source told Us Weekly that guests also enjoyed special Mr and Mrs Clooney cocktails representing the bride and groom.

Amal's drink was a blend of vodka, passion fruit liqueur and lime juice, while George's tipple included Tequilla Don Juilio Reposado, citron vodka and ginger ale.

George and Amal's Italian wedding was attended by A-list stars including Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt and Bono.

However, their dinner party was apparently more of a low key affair, for around 200 relatives and close friends.

A source told E! News before the event: "The guest list is made up of a lot of the people in the UK who couldn't make it to the wedding in Italy. There's going to be a lot of Amal's friends from Oxford plus friends of the Alamuddin family who've known Amal since she was little. There's not one A-list Hollywood name coming other than George."

A source told People of the party: "George was very nice, absolutely adorable. Amal looked incredible and they seem very, very much in love.

"George went from table to table to meet everyone and at more than one table, when he noticed glasses were empty, he got a bottle and poured wine into everyone's glasses."
