AN aspiring artist from Evesham is preparing to host her first solo exhibition in Pershore later in October.
Melanie Thorn will be exhibiting her works in Material Landscapes: A Rose Tinted View of Our Countryside, which will be on display from Thursday, October 23, to Tuesday, November 11.
The exhibition will showcase some of her recent work which takes inspiration from historical sites including Hailes Abbey and Sudely Castle in Winchcombe.
She said: “The enormity of the atmosphere I sense when visiting certain historical sites is immense. I want to portray their importance in our heritage and bring to light the wonders of our countryside.”
Admission is free and the exhibition runs from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
