Chris O'Dowd has revealed that he doesn't return designer suits.

The IT Crowd star admitted that he takes advantage when he is loaned clothes for awards ceremonies, as he appeared at the Bafta Los Angeles TV Tea Party.

"When you're going to an awards thing, sometimes somebody will want you to wear a suit. I'm like, 'That's a free suit' so that makes sense," he said.

"I never give it back. That's the one rule I have. I'll promise to give it back but it's never happened yet," added the 34-year-old actor.

Chris, last seen in Nick Frost's dance comedy Cuban Fury, next stars in St Vincent alongside Bill Murray.

"It's really a movie about Bill Murray. Bill is like a big part of it," he explained.

"It's about a guy who befriends a latchkey kid and he shows him the ways of the world. It's kind of like Charlie And The Chocolate Factory but for drink."

The Moone Boy star joked that his co-star is a worthy investment for movies, saying: "That's all he does now. You can hire him - he is relatively cheap but he will steal a lot of stuff."
