Lindsay Lohan has been ordered by a judge to perform 125 hours of community service – after it emerged that the actress received credit while performing in London stage play Speed-the-Plow.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Young set a hearing for March 12 to choose an agency where the actress can carry out the hours to complete her sentence in a reckless driving case.

Lindsay’s attorney had reported in January that the Mean Girls star had completed 250 hours of service with a London charity, but a prosecutor was unconvinced.

Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White said that the actress received credits during time she spent performing in Speed-the-Plow at a London theatre.

He said Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, agreed that some of the hours would be redone at a new organisation.

In January, he said Lindsay received credit for a meet-and-greet with fans of Speed-the-Plow.

“If this was Lindsey Smith, nobody would allow this,” he said. “She got to shake hands with people, and that’s community service.”
