Beyonce has about “a hundred” records just sitting around waiting to be released, according to producer The-Dream.

He has worked with her in the past on hit albums including 2011′s 4, and when asked by Genius.com to write a few words to go with the album’s track End Of Time, he made the surprising revelation.

Talking about the Broadway musical inspired by late Nigerian Afrobeat rocker Fela Kuti, The-Dream wrote: “We did a whole Fela album that didn’t go up. It was right before we did 4. We did a whole different sounding thing, about 20 songs. She said she wanted to do something that sounds like Fela. That’s why there’s so much of that sound in the End Of Time.

“There’s always multiple albums being made. Most of the time we’re just being creative, period. We’re talking about B, somebody who sings all day long and somebody who writes all day long. There’s probably a hundred records just sitting around.”

So either Beyonce never has to do another day’s work, or there are huge amounts of her music that we’ll never get to hear.

Last year, she toured with husband Jay Z for their On The Run shows, leading to speculation that they could release a joint album in the future.
