ICYMI Top Gear is getting its first international presenter. And not just any old American… they’ve only gone and got Joey Tribbiani.

OK, admittedly, we don’t think Matt LeBlanc will be presenting the BBC Two show, you know, in character as Joey… but still, excitement levels are high.
And Matt holds the record for the fastest ever celebrity lap of the famous Top Gear track, so he definitely seems like a good person for the job.
The other reason why he’s perfect for the Top Gear role? Well, there are several moments in Friends when Joey could basically have been Jeremy Clarkson in disguise. No, really.
1. When he just pretended to own a Porsche…
2. They’ve both been involved in a fair amount of road trips…
3. And well, they’ve both been “involved in punch-ups”…
And we probably don’t need to remind you how Jeremy was suspended from the BBC after he allegedly punched an assistant producer…
4. Yeah, both Joey and Jeremy get protective over food…

That whole “punching” incident reportedly happened because of, yep, food (apparently Jeremy couldn’t order a steak at a hotel in North Yorkshire after filming – instead he was offered cold meat platters).
5. There’s that time Joey said he was “sorry”…

Jeremy Clarkson seemed to “apologise” to Ed Miliband over Twitter – apparently over taking news attention away from the Labour leader after his BBC suspension.
6. Obviously they’re both big fans of a leather jacket…

Question is, who wore it better?
7. And what about those times they’ve both got very excited…

But this right here is obviously what we’re all really holding out for…
