Lily Allen has returned to the London stage to debut new music.

The singer joined her long-time collaborator Mark Ronson in a surprise appearance at his private concert at the Savoy Hotel.

Mark welcomed her to the stage as the “person who gave me my big break 10 years ago”.

He produced Lily’s smash hit first album Alright, Still in 2006 and is working with her on her upcoming fourth record.

Dressed in a cream silk top and black trousers, Lily performed three songs, starting with her hit Littlest Things before telling the crowd: “I haven’t played anything for about a year.

“Mark and I have been in the studio and were this last week.”

Mark shouted to the audience at the MasterCard Priceless Surprises show: “Who wants to hear a brand new Lily Allen song?”

The duo performed the new track with Lily reading from a lyrics sheet on the floor, which she picked up halfway through.

She also struggled to remember the words to Oh My God, the duo’s cover of the Kaiser Chiefs’ song, with two members of the front row holding up the lyrics for her.

During Mark’s intimate show he was joined by other collaborators including Andrew Wyatt from the band Miike Snow and singer Amanda Warner.

He performed hits including Uptown Funk and Bang Bang Bang before closing the show with Valerie, one of his tracks with Amy Winehouse.
