IF steak pies and surgical socks are really your cup of tea, catch up with Barbara Nice, who plans to take the regular bus to Redditch's Palace Theatre.

Showing as part of LGBT month at the Alcester Street venue, Housewife Extraordinaire, Barbara Nice is the alter ego of Holy Mary from Peter Kay's ‘Phoenix Nights'.

A spokesman said: "Barbara Nice is A hybrid between Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton. Not satisfied with having her own sitcom on BBC Radio, Barbara is planning on getting the 146 bus and heading to Redditch for an evening’s entertainment alongside Maureen Younger, and Birmingham Northfield’s very own Lindsey Santoro.

"Expect an evening of fun, lots of laughter and if you’re really lucky the joys of experiencing dead celebrity musical chairs and a 'rubbish raffle'.

"You never know, you’re luck may really be in and you could end up with a tinned steak pie or a surgical sock."

The date for the diary is Saturday, February 18, from 7.45pm.
