THE first Saturday of this year's Ledbury Poetry Festival brought families and familiar characters to town's Walled Garden, by the parish church.
A nursery rhymes trail, including a model of Humpty Dumpty on his wall, was part of the attraction, while word wizards and a creative conjurer brought extra magic to the beauty spot.
Youngsters also got a chance to make a musical wand, and to even to make a map of outdoor magic, to help them find adventure.
In cobbled Church Lane, the famous sofa was out in the street again, providing a resting place for festival goers, in-between events.
