A STAR from The Voice will be hoping an audience in Evesham won’t turn their backs on him next week.

Cheltenham-based singer-songwriter Vince Freeman, left, who earned a place in the final 40 of the BBC talent show, appears at Evesham Arts Centre on Friday, July 27, with an acoustic set.

During the show’s blind auditions he did enough to turn the head of Danny O’Donoghue and earn a place on his team but from 8pm Vince will be going face-to-face with a new crowd.

Away from the limelight of primetime television, he has shared the stage with Ed Sheeran and Eric Clapton and performed in Las Vegas.

On the night, support comes in the form of Ryan Corbett – the lead singer of Evesham’s five-piece rock band I Am Ryan – and Mae Bradbury, a 19- year-old singer-songwriter described as “Laura Marling meets Ellie Goulding”.

Tickets are £10 (concessions £8). For details or to book go to eveshamarts centre.co.uk or call 01386 446944.
