Easter fun in Wyre Piddle
RESIDENTS in Wyre Piddle near Pershore enjoyed a colourful Easter bonnet parade on Monday (24) as 30 people walked through the village sporting decorative numbers.
Eighty people of all ages turned out for the event on the village green and watched the parade in full flow.
Eileen Attwood, Steve Turner and Sylvia Fletcher judged the entries and awarded prizes for the best three bonnets.
First prize went to Charlotte Suckley for her pink and purple array of flowers and teddies. Holly Lister, aged three, came in second place for her vision of yellow feathers and chickens and third place went to three-year-old Ellie Stanley, whose bonnet was adorned with yellow flowers and chickens.
An egg hunt was also enjoyed by all and won by the Red Team. At the end of the day, all the children were presented with an Easter egg.
