FIVE weeks ago the first round of the National Superstock Championship was cancelled at Brands Hatch due to heavy snow.
Last weekend Evesham racer Michael Elliott returned to the Kent circuit for a re-run hoping to build on a gritty performance at Oulton Park.
Brands is a very demanding track and requires great physical and mental strength to race a motor cycle capable of speeds exceeding 150mph around the 2.3-mile circuit for 15 laps.
In hot and dry conditions, the Vale racer made a good start from row eight on the grid and was made to battle hard throughout the race to eventually finish in 15th position, scoring his first ever championship point.
