EVESHAM Rugby Club's girls under-17s travelled to Leamington last Sunday for the penultimate tourna-ment of the season when they fielded two teams.
The Reds made easy work of the group stages beating Yardley and Old Salts and again faced league leaders Comets in the final.
They made a poor start and trailed 3-1 on tries at half-time after which they were on fire.
They scored their first try through a superb run from centre Holly Ison, who delivered a well timed pass to winger Josie Symonds who crossed the line.
With two minutes of time remaining the girls had completely turned the game around and led by seven tries to five.
Comets managed a late consolation score before captain Abbie Cornish gathered the ball and ran down the clock to seal the win.
