IAN Trout has been awarded a Grand National Archery Society certificate for his services to the sport.
The presentation was made at Evesham's FITA 70m and head to head event by Alan Logan of the West Midlands Archery Society.
The Evesham club member has been involved in the sport for 49 years, training hundreds of beginners in his role as a GNAS coach.
The 70-year-old remains the club's foremost representative at competitions and continues to set county records in the limited compound bow discipline.
Daughter Sarah crowned an accomplished first year of shooting by taking gold at the West Midlands Open Novices tournament.
The annual contest hosted by the Royal Leamington Spa Society saw the unlimited compound bow archer recording a score of 759 with her eight dozen arrows to reign supreme.
The winner then made it a day remember by claiming the GNAS award for a six gold end at 60 yards.
In the ladies recurve section. Helen Scott also ended the season on a high when scoring 559 to claim the bronze medal.
