The re-instated carnival procession leaves Pershore Football Club at 1.30pm with a selection of colourful floats on display alongside marching bands and this years Carnival Princess, nine-year-old Justine Prosser.

The procession will wend its way through the town before stopping at Abbey Park where a huge array of stalls and activities will be ready and waiting for the hundreds of carnival-goers.

This year's carnival also incorporates a Farmers Market on Broad Street and for the first time ever, it will also feature a Green Festival, offering tips on how to help the environment.

The carnival day is completed with a barn dance at Pershore Football Club with music for the evening being provided by the Dampiers Round and a ploughmans supper and refreshments all available. Tickets for the evenings entertainment can be brought from Blue and the town hall.
