Evesham Jubilee Society
FISHING at Blackpole in Worcester on Sunday, John Edgeley continued his excellent form on the Worcester Canal this year.
He followed up his impressive win on the canal three weeks ago with another excellent bag of fish to win the latest club match with 7lbs 4ozs.
Runner-up was Tim Hunt (6.4.0), third was John Davis (5.0.0) and fourth was Fred Reynolds (4.6.0).
Members compete for the Jubilee and Dobbins Cups on the River Arrow at Broom next Sunday, draw at 8.45am.

Evesham and District Association
THE first match of the Summer League Series kicked off last Wednesday with 16 anglers spread out over Town and Ferry waters where all enjoyed reasonable sport.
The majority of fish were caught on waggler and maggot or worm and caster with the exception being winner Rob South who caught a large barbel on the pellet.
Weights: 1 Rob South 121.8.0 (peg 31); 2 Ray South 10.10.0 (11); 3 Leigh Gardiner 8.8.0 (36); 4 Steve Ashmore 8.6.0 (5).
Saturday's Wychavon qualifier proved to be hard going for the 65 on the bank and it was Chris Jenkinson who topped the weights with 12lbs 8ozs from Ferry peg 69.

AFTER a difficult weekend's fishing on the Avon, the Midweek Evening match proved to be successful as 17 competitors weighed in 160lbs of fish.

Evesham and District Disabled AC
TEN members met on the bank at Jim's Lake for another round of the Fiesta Cakes Summer Evening League.
The winner was Steve Smith with a winning weight of 23-4-0 to see off the challenge of Bob Southall (22-12-0), Wayne Panting 17-12-0) and Antony Icke (15-10-0).
Other weights: Ron Williams 12-0-0; Russell Davis 10-8-0; Mick Leeming 9-4-0; Bill Scarrott 4-8-0; Ray Woods 3-4-0.
The next match is tonight at Manor Farm with the draw at 5pm and fishing between 6 and 9.
Members met at the same venue for a match in the Nigel Howe Memorial Summer Lea-gue when the winner was Clive Leeming (42-0-0).
Other weights: Pete Willis 39-12-0; Jerry Akerman 25-8-0; Steve Smith 21-12-0; A Icke 17-0-0; Les Heritage 14-8-0; R Woods 10-0-0; B Scarrott 9-0-0; Doug Emms 6-12-0; M Leeming 4-12-0.
The next Sunday match is this weekend at Turley Court, draw as usual at 8am, fishing for five hours from 9.
Evesham WMC
THE first match of the season was fished at Drakes Broughton and Phil Preston fished the pole to catch small fish for 7.3.0.
Mart Woods and Stu Robinson both used the same method for 4.8.8 and 4.1.0.
The second match was on the river at Bidford where Mick Brooks had a couple of bream and small fish for 8.7.0.
Ian Jennings had small chub on the waggler for 8.6.0 and K Locke had small chub and barble for 6.15.0.
The next match is at Drake Broughton, draw 7.30am.
