Quartet on top at Vale

A LARGE field of competitive teams found the course at Bishampton in excellent condition for the annual men's AM/AM event.

Teams of four had to count all scores on the testing par 3s but only the best three on the remaining holes.

The team captained by Phil Green and comprising Mark Warren, Mark Weatherdale and Tony Walters held on to top spot with a score of 123 points from Fitz Burton, Steve Young, Buz Harris and Stuart Walding.

Results - Ladies Open (Best gross): R Loh 28pts. Silver Division: 1 Rosemary Shufflebotham 37; 2 Fiona Mitchell 36; 3 Shelagh Inglis 34 (cb). Bronze Division: 1 Di Morris 35 (cb); 2 Pauline Lee 35; 3 Pam Naylor 34 (cb); 4 Lyndsey Parsons 34; 5 Sheila Gilbert 33.
