KEEPING IT CLEAN: The litter-pickers in Harvington
VOLUNTEERS from a village youth project near Evesham are helping to keep their community looking spick and span as part of a nationwide campaign.
The Harvington Youth Project team undertook a litter pick for Wychavon District Council through Harvington Parish Council in support of the Keep Britain Tidy campaign.
To show how much they want to keep their village tidy, young people and adult volunteers of the youth project went out on to the streets to clear the area of litter.
Youth worker James Bell-Winfrow said: “Though young people are often to blame for litter in the village, fortunately, they are in the minority and there are in fact lots of young people who are fed up with litter on the streets.
“This clean-up has shown others that we care about our local environment.”
