A WORCESTERSHIRE village has added to its children’s play area with a new set of swings.
Harvington, near Evesham, celebrated the official opening of the equipment after 10 years of fund-raising. The new swings were made possible thanks to fund-raising by the Playing Field Association and grants from the Big Lottery Fund, Severn Waste Environmental Fund, Harvington Parish Council, Worcestershire County Council and Harvington Recreational Trust.
Jenny Cocks, treasurer of the playing field committee, said: “We have two climbing frames, a rotator, a shelter and a seating and picnic area, and now a really swish set of swings.”
