TWO talented air cadets from 233 Pershore squadron showed they are just as at home in the water as they are in the air.
Melissa Humphrey, aged 13, and Matthew Rochelle, 15, were triumphant at the national RAF swimming competition.
Competing against cadets from all over the UK, Prince Henry’s High School pupil Melissa took gold in the junior girls’ individual medley, whilst Matthew, who goes to Bowbrook House School in Peopleton, excelled in the senior boys’ freestyle.
They also each took home silver and bronze medals.
Their commanding officer David Pritchett said: “To have two cadets from this squadron performing so successfully at this level is an incredible achievement, and makes us all very proud of them.”
