YOUNG scientists from Pinvin Middle School inspired 100 of their younger counterparts from nearby primary schools with a Discovery Day. The event was held on Monday for pupils of Crowle, Flyford Flavell, Himbleton, Inkberrow, Upton Snodsbury and Pinvin first schools.
They took part in science, engineering and design technology workshops presented by the older children. Cath Francis, head of science at St Nicholas, said: “It’s a great way to involve the younger pupils in the life of our school and inspire them.” Pictured making K’Nex models are Owen Smith, aged eight, from Upton Snodsbury, Elise Coleman, 11, of St Nicholas Middle School, and Emma Lees, nine, from Inkberrow.
