AN Evesham mum is hosting a Christmas fair on Saturday as part of her fund-raising in memory of her parents.

Tina Cattermole, who lost her mother two years ago to cancer and her father 14 years earlier, has been fundraising for the past year after setting up a Barnardo’s store at home in 2011.

She enjoyed the store in her garage so much she carried it on after the challenge with Barnardo’s was over and has raised £4,300 since then.

She said: “After my mum died it left a void, even though I have a job, kids and a husband. I think the shop in the garage fills that void. I post bits and bobs on Facebook and people collect them from me once a week.”

This Saturday between 3pm and 5pm Tina is holding a fair at Bengeworth Church House. All funds raised by the stalls will go to Cancer Research. As part of the event people can purchase a paper heart to be hung on a Christmas tree in memory of a loved one at Simply Stones Memorial in Port Street.
