COMMUNITY-minded senior members of the Vale Golf Club raised £2,105 for the captain’s charity during last year’s fund-raising events.

A cheque was presented to Jason Dennis of the County Air Ambulance Trust by Roger Hawes, the senior’s captain, for 2012.

Mr Dennis attended the senior’s day at the golf club last month and expressed his gratitude to members for their generosity.

The money will go to projects including the establishment of more bases so helicopters can reach any part of the area in a few minutes.
