Girl aged six hit by car on way to school

A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl is recovering after being hit by a car as she walked to school.

The girl was walking to Pinvin CE First School at about 8.50am on Tuesday when she was in collision with the car.

She was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where she was treated for hip and arm injuries and is now recovering.

Sarah Boyce, headteacher at Pinvin CE First School, said the girl was making a good recovery.

“We were very impressed by the way the whole community rallied round to help the whole family out in this very difficult situation,” she said.

“We are now all wishing her a speedy recovery and the school have been in touch to wish her the best.”

West Mercia Police interviewed the driver but no further action was taken.
