Luxury spa part of hotel revamp

A TOP Cotswold hotel will launch a luxury spa next year designed by an award-winning consultant in the hope of placing it amongst the country’s best places to spend the night.

The new spa at the Dormy House Hotel near Broadway will be opened in 2014 as part of a £10m revamp of the venue.

It will be designed by internationally renowned Sparcstudio and award-winning consultant Neil Howard who designed the spa at the Dorchester and the three Armani Spas in Tokyo, Milan and Dubai. The House Spa will include an infinity pool, treatment rooms, fitness gym, dining area and terrace garden and will be open to hotel guests and will have a health spa for nearby residents.

Hotel general manager David Field said: “We aim to position the Dormy among the leading hotels in the UK and we see the creation of a luxury spa as a vital part of that.

“The Dormy is already a household name and is synonymous with a quality dining and hotel experience. However, we believe that adding a truly exquisite spa will place it at the very top of the UK hospitality sector.”

The hotel is due to close in mid-March for the work to begin, reopening after the first phase of bedroom redevelopment this summer. It will remain open while work continues on House Spa, which is due to open in early 2014.
