Councillors’ listening ear

CHAT: David Brotheridge speaking with resident Peter Spencer.
TRADERS and stallholders at Pershore market have been visited by three Wychavon councillors as part of a connecting with communities event.
Councillors Val Wood, David Brotheridge and Charles Tucker, who is also the mayor of Pershore, spoke with traders and residents to find out what they are most concerned about in the town.
“To continue operating as a well-run council, it is important to understand the issues affecting businesses and families within the community,” said Coun Brotheridge.
“Previous comments from the people and businesses we’ve spoken to have been constructive and positive about the role we can play in improving things at a local level and how we can work together in the future.”
Another business recently visited in Pershore by Coun Tucker was Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd.
Team manager Peter Crolla said: “It was nice to hear from Councillor Tucker and the council and for them to take the time to listen and understand our needs and concerns.
“We are looking forward to seeing how we can work together in improving the area to suit our business better.”
